Some of us actually like to read and write. Yes, LA is the land of TV and Movies, but someone has to write those stories in the first place! And, yes, writing can be lonely even though Carrie Bradshaw makes it look so romantic from outside her Upper Eastside window. I, however, prefer my window at Literati Cafe because sometimes it’s fun to be alone in a room full of people. And that’s why I think so many Creative Thinkers find ourselves here at this cafe. Because we quietly, or sometimes chattily, support each others creativity. Whether we’re writing, reading, eating, typing, studying or sometimes all of the above at the same time, we West LA Literati know that we are not alone.
There are two sides to every story and the two parts of Literati Cafe are proof. Next door to the cafe is an intimate Bar & Grill, once referred to by Angeleno Magazine as “a serious little restaurant.” The B&G is a casual, full-service restaurant and bar serving lunch and dinner daily in addition to brunch on the weekends. Although uniquely different from one another, Literati Cafe and the Bar & Grill share the same theme: Food for Thought. Both restaurants emphasize farm fresh, organic foods and provide a motivational ambiance to inspire your taste buds and creativity.
Hi
First, apologies if this is not the correct person to write to about this. This was the only way of emailing Literati that I could find.
A few weeks ago I visited Literati as part of my research on LA’s burgeoning coffee scene. I was served a very good Groundwork coffee and an delicious lemonbar. The purpose of my research is to find the best coffee spots to include in an LA’s Best Coffee app that my brother and I are creating. I’m now following up to let you know that I’ll be including Literati Cafe in the app. We plan to launch the app around July 1st, though I will be in touch to let you know the precise date.
Thanks again for a great coffee!
Sincerely,
Mark Lamberton

“LA’s Best Coffee app” Awesome.
Hi there!
I was trying to look around for an application to apply to the Cafe, but I had no luck. Is there a way I can apply for work at the Literati Cafe?
Thanks in advance!
